Specifications External   

All timber where paint is peeling/perished is to be sanded back to a sound surface.

Remove existing oxidized paint from all surfaces to be painted by means of washing.

Wash down and remove all fungus and dirt from eves, ceilings and walls of areas to be painted.

Use gap sealant, putty or suitable fill to gap cracks and holes. (This does not include underneath weatherboards)

Hack out loose putties to windows and face putty before painting.

Steel beams and trusses to have rust, loose and scaly paint removed and prepared to a sound surface and apply an oil undercoat or rust inhibitor prior to painting.

Concrete block, cement and render to be cleaned to a sound surface or pressure blasted where necessary.

Peeling or perished paint on fibro (ac asbestos sheeting) and fibre cement sheeting is to be stripped back bare on affected sheets where necessary. Unfortunately this product has asbestos in it and sanding is no longer a safe way to achieve a good finish.

PAINT: Is to be of a well-known brand of Trade quality with GPC Approval. (Government Paint Comity)

GUTTER: 2 Coats of Satin / Gloss Solver Duraguard Acrylic

FAZIA: 2 Coats of Satin / Gloss Solver Duraguard Acrylic

EVES: 2 Coats of Satin / Gloss Solver Duraguard Acrylic.

WALLS: 2 Coats of Satin / Gloss Solver Duraguard Acrylic. (Extra for 3rd coat if wanted)

WINDOWS: 1 Coat oil Undercoat and 1 Coat Solver Gloss Enamel.(Bare timber gets a primer)

BATTENS: 1/2 Coats Low Sheen / Satin Solver Duraguard Acrylic.(Depends on Coverage)

STEPS: 2 Coats Low Sheen / Satin Solver Duraguard Acrylic.(Non slip can be arranged)

HANDRAILS: 1 Coat Oil Undercoat and one coat Satin / Gloss Enamel or Satin/ Gloss Solver Duraguard Acrylic.

COLOURS: A maximum of 3 Colors per house. A fee of $100 per color after that.
